About the Author
Professor S. Mohana worked as a Zoology professor for 38 years at the Palani Andavar Men's College and has officiated as Principal-In-Charge. She was elected twice as the President of the Tamil Nadu Science Forum. She is a General Body Member of the All India Science Forum. She is the National Committee Member of 'Samatha' and the Coordinator of South India's 'Samam' Movement. She has been actively involved in the CITU and the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association. Being an author, she has penned books on astronomy, zoology, science, history, social justice, and feminism. She has received the Tamil Nadu Kalai Ilakkiya Perumandram Award for Science propaganda and many other awards.
About the Translator
Professor P. Vijayakumar is a retired professor of the English Department at Saraswathi Narayanan College, Madurai. He is the editor of the teachers’ magazine Puthiya Asiriyan. He was actively involved in all the activities of the teacher organization MUTA and held various positions, including that of the General Secretary. He served in the Senate and Academic Council of Madurai Kamarajar University. He is a social activist and a feminist. He contributes regularly to the monthly magazine Namadu Man Vasam. He has published two Tamil books recently: 1. Sirukathai Ilakkiyathin Sigarangal 2. Tamil Sirukathai Sirpigal. He is a member of Soco Trust and Save Higher Education organization.
